Mahboobeh Rajabi is a Digital Artist, Film Maker, Animator, Theatre Director and writer. Her specialism are in directing theatre from IRAN and Moving Image Production from UK, including Animation, Motion Graphic, Documentary and promo videos.
She has been working with Community Arts North West since 2011 and most of the Art organisations across Manchester, Greater Manchester such as Women’s Aid, In Place of War, HOME and many more. She also worked internationally with European Cultural Foundation as part of TANDEM project and Japan Soceity Noth West as partof her research on Far East of Asia. She has been awarded the Jerwood Creative Fellowship working with Manchester International Festival this year.
She is also a published writer and her poems got published as part of English Pen projects in 2013 and she is also one of the Identity Writers at Common word. Her short fictions got published in Elevation Fiction last year and she is also shortlisted to get published this year.
She is currently working on a digital commission to ‘Bring Poetry into Code Generation’ with Common word and she has also a theatre commission with Manchester Museum for October as part of The Journeys Festival.
