Wood Sculpture by Rachel Ramchurn

Rachel Graduated from DeMontfort University with a BA (Hons) Fine Art in 1998

and went on to develop her skills as an apprentice to Wood

Sculptor John Beasley in Australia in 2000. Returning to the UK in 2001 Rachel

has refined her expertise and created her own style of carving. Using a chainsaw

and power tools, her wood sculpture focuses on shapes and forms inspired by nature:

seeds, buds, pods, leaves and other natural plant formations, creating fluid and

curvaceous, abstract pieces.

Rachel is a Wood Sculptor, Workshop Facilitator and Project manager.

Her Sculpture work includes projects with local communities that she has developed

from inception to delivery.

Rachel lives and works in Nottingham with her husband and their two children.
