Cheshire Year of the Gardens 2008

Rachel was  awarded a Sculpture Commission as part of Cheshire’s Year of the Garden 2008.

For the works at Arley Hall Rachel wanted to create smaller sculptures that gave a greater awareness of the gardens and reflect the uniqueness of the Grove rather than one large sculpture overtaking the space.

Each sculpture has a ‘viewing hole’ through which an area of the garden is brought to the viewers’ attention, it may be looking straight into a particularly beautiful flower, overlooking a large area or viewing deep into the forest.
