Dance and Drama workshop
Funded by Forever Manchester
Providing ongoing weekly drama and dance workshops to refugee and asylum seeker women from November 2017. Participants learn different styles of dance and how to engage with each other and an audience. These activities not only improve dance and drama skills but enhance friendships.
This project has worked with 15 women from Africa and Asia to date and 11 of them have received Level 2 Food and Hygiene certificates. So far they have prepared food together and to produce a joint cookbook. It is hoped that this will lead to a sharing not only of recipes but also of cultures, values and experiences.
Please look out for an exciting cookbook and food tasting events later on down the year.
We would like to thank Awards for All for their support.
